About the role

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) seeks a Mental Health Registered Nurse (MHRN) at the Oregon State Hospital, Salem Campus. This role involves providing nursing care to individuals in a forensic psychiatric facility, administering medications, developing nursing plans, completing assessments, and managing staff assignments.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by the provider
• Develop and implement nursing plans of care
• Complete assessments and respond to emergent psychiatric situations
• Monitor staff work assignments and supervise staff
• Provide therapeutic, safe, and secure milieu

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid and unencumbered Oregon Professional Registered Nurse license
• Desired attributes include experience in mental health, conflict and crisis management, leadership, and milieu management
• Must be able to manage multiple job responsibilities simultaneously

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Valid Oregon RN license
