About the role

Mental Health Professional – Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS)

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family counseling to youth and foster families.
  • Conduct assessments and assist in developing individualized service plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions focused on placement stabilization.
  • Collaborate with DCFS, foster parents, and community partners to coordinate care.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and on-call rotation as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with DCFS and agency standards.

Requirements

  • Must meet Illinois Rule 132 criteria for Mental Health Professional (MHP), which includes: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services field OR Other qualifications as defined by Illinois Administrative Code Rule 132.
  • Experience working with youth and families preferred; child welfare experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • Minimum age: 21 years.

Pay

Mental Health Professional (MHP): $45,000–$52,000 annually + every other Friday off (paid wellness day)

Schedule

Full-Time | Every other Friday off (paid wellness day) | Hours: Monday-Friday (10a-7p)
