Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy, aimed at reducing maladaptive behavior and promoting healthy psychological functioning.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services to youth, consulting with facility staff on treatment concerns and coordinating mental health follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with patients and staff to establish, review, and update treatment goals, while monitoring and documenting progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and reports, ensuring adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Work with psychiatry staff on mental health monitoring, participate in staff meetings and training, and contribute to specialized clinical services or program development as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or obtain LPC within 6 months.
  • Must have LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board.
  • Maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.
  • Coursework and professional experience indicating knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
  • Experience working with youth preferred.
