Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of psychiatric patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding treatment instructions.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and ability to plan and facilitate individual, group and family psychoeducational and process groups.
• Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and review on an ongoing basis.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
• Provide guidance on complex issues and conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
• Facilitate and participate in Community Education, Activities and Support Groups, as appropriate to scope.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a Human Services related field (Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or Counseling).
• Advanced educational preparation or experience in the area of clinical practice and/or management.
• Currently licensed as one of the following professionals in the state(s) of practice, according to law and regulation: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCWS), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)*, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)*, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)*, Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW, LICSW)*.
• Must be authorized by the state to provide outpatient psychiatry treatment services to Medicare beneficiaries.
• American Heart Association BLS (within 30 days of hire).
• Crisis Intervention Prevention (CPI) training required (within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Other-Fingerprint Required.
• Masters Degree(LCSW) Clinical Social Worker, or (LPC/LMHC) Licensed Professional/Mental Health Counselor, or (LMFT) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or (PSYCH) Psychologist.
• No travel required.
