Job Summary and Qualifications

The Mental Health Professional III works with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of emergency room and psychiatry providers to provide high quality, patient-centered care. This role performs psychiatric assessments and first evaluations for involuntary commitment (IVC) both in-person and via telehealth. Once the patient is evaluated, the Mental Health Professional III collaborates with emergency room physicians and psychiatrists to make level of care determinations, and coordinates treatment/discharge plans. Professionals in this role also serve as a resource to the broader care team by assisting with de-escalation in crisis situations, guiding them through the IVC process, and providing information about inpatient hospitalization and community resources.

Qualifications

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Masters Degree (LCSW) Clinical Social Worker, or (LPC/LMHC) Licensed Professional/Mental Health Counselor, or (PSYCH) Psychologist, or (LMFT) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • No Travel Required
