Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to individuals under supervision, including individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide mental health consultation and training to facility staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training programs, and specialized clinical services.
  • Maintain accountability for services provided through participation in the Quality Improvement program and accurate recording of activities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.
  • Coursework and experience indicating knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
  • Licensure in the state as an LMSW, LPC, or similar license from the appropriate state licensing board.
  • Maintain CPR certification and any other required certifications (such as First Aid).

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals under the supervision of a Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or Mental Health Director.
  • Knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
