About the role
The role involves providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring mental health needs of patients. Treatment includes assessment and therapy, including group therapy, for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses. Additional duties include participation in a multidisciplinary team, crisis intervention, supervision of unlicensed mental health staff, and ongoing care planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring mental health needs of patients.
- Treatment involves assessment and therapy, including group therapy, for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients.
- Ensure proper identification of mental health and substance use concerns, as well as barriers to recovery and stability.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy utilizing evidence-based intervention strategies and best practices.
- Provide mental health consultation and information to educate patients, customers, and staff members regarding the dynamics of mental health issues in recovery.
- Seek and receive consultation from others to provide comprehensive care.
- Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients.
- Provide mental health assessment, ensuring proper identification of mental health and substance use concerns, as well as barriers to recovery and stability.
- Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies and best practices.
- Seek and receive consultation from others to provide comprehensive care.
- Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.
- Fully licensed in the state you are practicing as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or similar.
- MN: LP, LMFT, LICSW, LPCC.
- Current CPR Card or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Certification must be from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Individual National Provider Identification (NPI) number.
- Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Twelve Step treatment approaches and stages of recovery; Knowledge/training in addiction studies; Willingness to be licensed in other states; Spanish fluency.
