Mental Health Practitioner (Ramsey County ACT)

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed treatment interventions that integrate clinical and psychiatric rehabilitation strategies.
• Guide person-centered planning practices, assessing for and integrating culturally congruent responses.
• Help people access and maintain benefits and community resources.
• Provide care coordination with external providers.
• Connect with natural supports and provide crisis intervention services.
• Enhance clinical skills by partnering with Mental Health Professionals, psychiatric care providers, Nurses, Substance Use Specialists, Vocational Counselors, and Certified Peer Specialists.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision on emerging and evidence-based practices.
• Develop, write, implement, evaluate, and revise treatment goals and plans in collaboration with clients and the treatment team.
• Assist in comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, substance abuse treatment, and other tools necessary for client recovery.
• Aid clients with independent living skills such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, personal hygiene, transportation, and budgeting.
• Encourage competitive employment and foster positive work skills for clients.
• Attend and participate in commitment and other court hearings as required.
• Complete required court reports and file reports with relevant offices.
• Assess, plan, and treat substance abuse for assigned clients both individually and in groups.
• Engage and reach out to clients' family members/significant others, including landlords and employers, after obtaining client permission.
• Perform shift management duties, including attending and participating in team meetings.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention, covering nighttime hours and serving as a backup to evening and weekend staff on a rotating schedule.
• Transport clients in the community as needed.
• Complete all paperwork, reports, and charting contemporaneously and in an organized manner.
• Maintain a pattern of regular work hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field.
• 2,000 hours of supervised experience working with individuals with Mental Illness.

Pay

$59,773 - $65,243 per year.

Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
