Responsibilities and Duties
- Teach consumers appropriate strategies to manage behavioral and mental health symptoms
- Affiliate with consumer service plans related to identified needs and goals
- Afford consumers access to appropriate medical, psychiatric, social, educational, vocational and other support and services
- Provide consumer training/reinforcement, linkage to supports/services
- Advocate on behalf of consumer, family and providers
- Monitor/assess service delivery
- Behavior management and crisis intervention.
- Master’s Degree in Human Service field
- Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work required
- Five (5) years experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, substance abuse or who are dually diagnosed.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record.
