Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Core hours:

  • Tuesday and Thursday: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Additional early morning, evening, and weekend hours as needed.

Pay

$50,000 per year.

Competencies

  • Ability to assess and interpret information related to the population served
  • Knowledge of symptoms of disability/disorder and ability to recognize exacerbation of symptoms
  • General understanding of treatment needs and available treatment resources
  • Population-specific communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist mental health diversion program participants in navigating the criminal justice system
  • Support participants in complying with court-ordered conditions and individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor participant engagement in treatment services and medication compliance when prescribed
  • Maintain regular contact with participants, including in-person and community-based meetings
  • Provide evening and weekend availability to complement case management services and address gaps in service accessibility
  • Engage with individuals in jail and other judicial facilities as needed
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and cooperate with all investigations, internal and external
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments of participants and develop individualized service plans
  • Provide direct service support including transportation and coordinating treatment teams
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic clinical records that meet state, program, and funding-source standards
  • Complete daily activities in the Electronic Clinical Record and meet level-of-service and care guidelines
  • Provide additional documentation required for clearance into other judicial facilities
  • Work across multiple counties based on program need and travel throughout New Jersey and the tri-state area as needed
  • Facilitate linkages to community-based resources within Burlington County and surrounding areas (e.g., filing applications, advocacy, escort to appointments, daily living skill remediation, money management)
  • Provide 24/7 on-call crisis intervention on a rotating basis, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
