About the role
The Crisis Specialist QMHP - Office or Residential Based is responsible for ensuring the provision of recovery-focused, person-centered care with a trauma-informed perspective. This position operates in a dynamic environment, and performs case management, assessment, and/or service coordination work based on the program's guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuity of care services for clients.
- Link consumers and families to needed resources.
- Coordinate, monitor, and update services and consumer goals.
- Provide necessary skills training.
- Assist in crisis prevention.
- Provide community outreach.
- Collaborate with consumers, first responders, and community stakeholders to address immediate mental health crises and plan for future crisis relapse prevention.
Requirements
- Best practices for treatment of complex behavioral health, developmental, and/or co-occurring disorders.
- Recovery-oriented and trauma-informed principles.
- Motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral approaches, and person-centered care.
- Community resources; case management/service coordination principles, objectives, standards, and methods; and program objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Assessment of client needs.
- Crisis intervention principles and techniques.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Crisis experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
