Mental Health Counselor Masters - Psych Adult

About the role

This is a Per Diem/On-Call, Variable Shift position, could be any days with Sunday and Saturday. The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for providing clinically therapeutic programs and treatment in the inpatient behavioral health units.

Responsibilities

• Provide various modalities of treatment from a trauma informed clinical model that can include group, individual and family therapy.
• Assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay on the unit.
• Assist in supporting discharge planning efforts and interventions that support rapid stabilization and movement of the patient back into the community or the next level of care.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other mental health related field from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council.
• LCSW with the state of Oregon required.
• Licensure as an LICSW in the state of Washington required as needed based on work location(s).
• OrMaster's Degree in Recreational therapy from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. CTRS national credential is required.
• Licensure in accordance with the appropriate Oregon state board is required.
• OrMaster's Degree in Creative/Expressive Arts from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. It is also required that this Masters degree be eligible for licensure as LPC or LMFT in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• LPC or LMFT licensure with the appropriate Oregon state board is required.
• 2 years relevant experience in an inpatient mental health setting.
• 2 years: Adult Unit: Experience with adult population preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Child and Adolescent Unit: Experience with child/adolescent population preferably in the inpatient setting.
• Senior Unit: Experience with geriatric population preferably in an inpatient setting.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other mental health related field, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. Additional requirements include LCSW with the state of Oregon, and LICSW in the state of Washington if needed. Relevant experience in an inpatient mental health setting is also required, with specific experience in adult, child/adolescent, and senior units.

Skills

Skills required include proficiency in trauma informed clinical models, ability to provide group, individual, and family therapy, and experience in inpatient settings with diverse populations.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is available on a Per Diem/On-Call, Variable Shift basis, with the possibility of working any day of the week, including Sundays and Saturdays.
