Mental Health Counselor - Group Living Environment
About the role
Riverside Community Care believes in empowering adults to live fulfilling, self-directed lives in the community. As a Mental Health Counselor in one of our Group Living Environments (GLE's), you will partner with residents to help them reach personal goals, strengthen their physical and emotional wellness, and develop essential life skills.
Responsibilities
- Partner with residents to reach personal goals by offering guidance, education, and daily living support.
- Help individuals strengthen their physical and emotional wellness while developing essential life skills.
- Encourage self-advocacy, connection, and community involvement through meaningful interactions and supportive coaching.
- Create an environment where people feel safe, heard, and inspired to envision new possibilities for their futures.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language).
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
- Valid driver's license and available, dependable transportation.
- Experience working with recovery model, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions (a plus).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- High School diploma and one year related experience required.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of recovery models, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions (a plus).

$21.37/hour
Schedule
Full Time, 40 hours Tuesday - Saturday: 1pm to 9pm
