About the role
Seeking a full-time Therapist In Training to join a community-based outpatient mental health team.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations
- Developing collaborative treatment plans
- Providing individual psychotherapy and counseling services
- Delivering psychoeducation and skill-building interventions
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Participating in treatment and recovery team meetings
- Collaborating with community partners and referral sources
- Engaging in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
- Utilizing trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based practices
This role primarily focuses on individual therapy, with occasional group facilitation opportunities. One evening appointment per week is required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
- Practicum experience in mental health, substance use, or community services
- Eligible for or holding a Wisconsin "In Training" license (e.g., APSW, LPC-IT, MFT-IT)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred skills: active mental health licensure, experience with justice-involved populations, trauma-informed care knowledge.
