Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Full Time; Monday 8:30am–4:30pm; Tuesday–Friday 9:30am–5:30pm

MUST be able to drive clients in company van 2 days/week

About the role

The Mental Health Associate provides direct support, supervision, and therapeutic assistance to individuals receiving behavioral health treatment services. This role supports the treatment team by monitoring clients throughout the treatment day, facilitating or assisting with therapeutic groups, supporting crisis intervention efforts, and promoting a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented treatment environment. The Mental Health Associate collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment team members to support client engagement, safety, treatment participation, and continuity of care in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and observe clients throughout the treatment day to support safety, engagement, and therapeutic structure within the milieu environment.
  • Facilitate and/or assist with didactic, psychoeducational, experiential, and multimodal group sessions as assigned.
  • Supervise client breaks, activities, transportation, and other program-related functions as assigned.
  • Support the treatment team in crisis intervention efforts and respond appropriately to behavioral health or risk-related situations.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented treatment environment.
  • Establish and maintain professional rapport and healthy boundaries with clients, families, referral sources, and team members.
  • Assist with collection, monitoring, and documentation of urine screenings and other program-related monitoring activities as assigned.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant client documentation, reports, chart reviews, and clerical support activities as required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and multidisciplinary treatment team members regarding client behaviors, concerns, and treatment-related issues.
  • Support continuity of care through coordination with treatment team members and participation in team meetings and program activities.
  • Demonstrate culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches when interacting with clients and families.
  • Assist with transportation services and maintain compliance with organizational driver safety requirements if assigned driving responsibilities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, trainings, drills, and continuing education activities as required.
  • Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
  • Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with adolescent populations.
  • Valid Driver's License
