Mental Health Administrator 4 - Recovery Mall Manager- Summit Behavioral Healthcare
What You’ll Do
- Directs, implements, and evaluates clinical and activity programs.
- Manages non-medical programs and services including speech and hearing services, music therapy, recreational activities, patient library service, cosmetology and barber service, in-house employment opportunities, religious and educational programs.
- Captures and provides reports on treatment group and unit group treatment compliance data as directed.
- Coordinates program schedules, resources, staffing, and daily operations to ensure effective delivery of patient services.
- Evaluates program effectiveness and recommends improvements based on patient needs and treatment goals.
- Assists in monitoring and patient safety.
Staff Supervision and Performance Management
- Implements and evaluates treatment services compliance standards for Joint Commission.
- Conducts periodic performance reviews, identifies problem areas, and develops plans for correcting them.
- Directly supervises assigned staff and monitors performance.
- Develops and conducts training and in-service programs.
Position Qualifications
- Completion of undergraduate core program in mental health & developmental disabilities technology, social work, special education, psychology, or rehabilitation or 24 months experience in development & implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for persons who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled and working as part of interdisciplinary team to assess consumers'/residents' needs & abilities.
- 12 months training or 12 months experience in state & federal regulations, standards & court orders governing care, custody, treatment, programming & environment of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers, or regulating drug treatment center operations or federally funded drug abuse services, or governing delivery of psychiatric services in adult correctional institutions, or affecting community mental health programs.
- Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration/management sciences or 12 mos. exp. developing goals, objectives, policies & procedures of operational unit or program of agency or firm & monitoring implementation of same.
- Additional qualifications for programmatic positions: 6 months training in supervisory principles/techniques or 6 months experience scheduling, monitoring & evaluating personnel; 6 months training in budgeting or 6 months experience determining budget needs & spending for operational unit or program of agency or firm; 6 months training in employee training & development or 6 months experience writing training materials or conducting training; 3 months training in manpower planning or 3 months scheduling personnel for adequate coverage & making staff projections. Or 6 months experience as Mental Health Administrator 3, 65223.
- Minimum class qualifications for employment: Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
- Masters degree preferred.
