Mental & Behavioral Health Coach - Prevention

About the role

Eliot is an organization dedicated to supporting children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities. The Mental and Behavioral Health Coach works within the Early Intervention (EI) program, collaborating with early education, out-of-school programs, and families to address children's social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with childcare programs and families
• Provide behavior coaching on site at childcare programs/family child care homes for young children with challenging behaviors
• Provide support and modeling regarding behavior management strategies
• Provide support, training, and resources regarding classroom management techniques
• Assist in the development and implementation of individual behavior support plans

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
• Experience working with young children with challenging behaviors and/or mental health issues
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License

Location

Offices in Lawrence and Malden with ability to use either one. Community outreach position that requires travel in the Northeast region of Massachusetts.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm
