Mental Health Coach

Coaching takes place in person and in real-world settings, emphasizing practical skill-building and experiential learning.Role Description As a Mental Health Coach at LifeTutors, you will provide in-person, skill-based coaching to clients in helping them develop practical strategies for managing daily life, routines, and overall well-being. You will meet clients where they are—in their homes and communities—to support them in building independence, resilience, and healthy habits. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating individualized coaching plans, offering guidance on wellness and self-care, and collaborating with clinically-informed team members to ensure alignment with evidence-based approaches. You will document sessions, monitor progress, and adjust coaching strategies as needed to keep clients moving toward their personal goals. Qualifications:Bachelor's or master's degree in a human services related field, such as psychology, counseling, social work or education -or- ICF/BCC/similar coaching certificationExperience working in behavioral health with young adultsStrong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clientsEmpathy and an accepting approach to supporting young adults in transitionExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailDuties include:Conduct individual coaching sessions with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized goal plansProvide guidance and support to clients in achieving their goals, such as academics, employment, independent living, managing their medication, and more.Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities to address clients' unique needsCollaborate with management, coaches, and families as neededKeep accurate records of client progress, notes, and maintain confidentiality of participant informationParticipate in earning LifeTutors' in-house coaching certification
