The Plant Director role at 3M provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career. You will lead a team dedicated to enhancing and improving lives globally, overseeing plant operations, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant environment, health, safety, and security practices that respect the environment, meet regulatory requirements, protect employees, and align with company expectations.
• Manage operational excellence through conscientious management and decisive actions in areas such as environment, health, safety, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, cost, and employee relations.
• Accelerate value creation for customers through responsive end-to-end supply chain performance and prompt resolution to customer inquiries.
• Develop manufacturing strategies for a high-performance workforce, plan capital equipment, advance technology, and develop employees and leaders.
• Champion inclusive programs that foster a great workplace for all employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified prior to start.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in a private, public, government, or military environment in areas such as quality, product/process/project engineering, or manufacturing.
• Five (5) years of combined experience in a management role in a manufacturing setting in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Plant Manager (or equivalent) experience in a complex organization.
• Demonstrated strong leadership ability and history of leading high-performance teams.
• Experience and certification with Lean Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience in operational excellence, lean implementation, and financial accounting.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
• May include up to 15% domestic/international travel.
• Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Pay & Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $287,281 - $351,122, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. Specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
