Men's Ice Hockey Assistant Coach

About the Role

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is seeking an Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach to assist with all phases of the program in accordance with NAIA, ACHA, Conference, and University rules, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and evaluating prospective student-athletes
• Recruiting in compliance with program standards
• Performing public relations and administrative tasks
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or a combination of acceptable education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge and skills
• Previous coaching experience and/or playing experience at the collegiate level
• Thorough knowledge of NAIA and ACHA rules, higher education, and intercollegiate athletics
• Recruiting experience and knowledge
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Strong computer and social media skills
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and departmental recruiting test

Hybrid or mobile/remote work modes may be available at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
