Memory Care Nurse Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinical flow and care quality for a 16-unit memory care community.
• Design, implement, and oversee specialized dementia care programming.
• Lead and train staff on dementia best practices and behavioral interventions.
• Evaluate new and current residents to develop, update, and implement comprehensive, individualized service plans.
• Serve as the core communicator between residents, families, medical partners, and care teams.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support risk management operations for assisted living and memory care residents.

Qualifications

• License: Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of Iowa.
• Experience: Deep understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and related memory disorders (prior experience in a memory care setting strongly preferred).
