Pay Range: $57,000 - $66,400
What Does a Memory Care Coordinator Do?
- Supervising and supporting the Memory Care caregiving team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Ensuring residents receive compassionate, individualized care that reflects their changing needs and preferences.
- Developing, updating, and maintaining resident service plans, temporary service plans, and care documentation.
- Serving as a primary liaison between residents, families, physicians, and the care team.
- Cooking and collaborating with families to provide exceptional resident-centered care.
- Assisting with hiring and ongoing staff training.
- Monitoring staffing needs, assisting with scheduling, and providing floor support when necessary.
- Reviewing resident changes, incident reports, and quality assurance measures to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent outcomes.
- Cooking and coordinating new resident move-ins and helping create a smooth, welcoming transition into Memory Care.
- Working closely with nurses, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to promote the highest quality of life for every resident.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or a related field.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and lead a team with compassion and professionalism.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
- A genuine passion for serving older adults living with dementia.
