Memory Care Coordinator

About the role

The Reminiscence Coordinator leads a memory care neighborhood, ensuring residents with dementia receive compassionate, individualized care and meaningful engagement. They oversee daily operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and champion Sunrise’s Resident-Centered Care model.

Responsibilities

• Developing and facilitating dementia-appropriate activities
• Partnering with clinical teams to meet care needs
• Supporting families through meetings and education
• Monitoring quality indicators such as weight management, behaviors, and medication oversight
• Managing staffing, scheduling, training, performance
• Overseeing the department budget and financial performance
• Ensuring risk management standards are met
• Supporting a well-trained, compassionate team

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in memory care or dementia care preferred
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to develop engaging, dementia-appropriate activities
• Excellent communication and family support skills
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality indicators
