Membership Coordinator

About the Role

Maximize participation through motivation and educational components, building rapport with members. Monitor the fitness room to ensure members use equipment properly and offer guidance on safe exercises. Promote personal training clinics and wellness-related opportunities daily. Support firm-wide fitness programs and challenges, register associates through membership software, and aid in retention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the fitness room to ensure proper equipment use and provide exercise guidance.
• Promote personal training clinics and wellness opportunities daily.
• Support firm-wide fitness programs and challenges.
• Register associates through membership software and assist with retention.
• Report incidents directly to the fitness supervisor and log issues promptly.
• Maintain administrative tasks and report membership statistics to the project manager.
• Keep the Fitness Center clean and organized.
• Integrate Raymond James’ mission and core values into the healthy living aspect of the role.
• Establish a positive emotional environment to enhance member adherence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Knowledge of fitness and wellness principles.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• Proficiency with computers for word processing, email, and internet use.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform job duties.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (Recreation, Exercise Physiology, Health, or related field).
• 1 year of related work experience.
• Experience teaching health/wellness or group fitness classes preferred.
• Personal training experience and knowledge preferred.
• Optional instructor certifications from nationally recognized organizations (NASM, CSCS, ISSA, NSCA, ACSM, ACE, AFAA).

Pay

$15.00/hour - $18.06/hour
