Membership Committee: Community Groups Subcommittee: Video Editor

About the role

The video editor works as part of the Community Groups Subcommittee. The role edits community group recordings and posts them for sharing with the membership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor community group discussions for recordings.
• Ensure all videos are edited and posted within established deadlines — generally within one week of recording.
• Upload the videos, thumbnails and session descriptions to the video hosting platform.
• Share the video embed link with the community group leadership.
• Onboard and support discussion leaders to edit captions.
• Facilitate an environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

Qualifications

Required

• Proficiency editing and posting video and audio.
• Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Membership in the Association (including free general membership), which can be fulfilled at application.

Preferred

• Ability to work with project management/team communication platforms such as Slack, ClickUp, etc.
• Google Drive proficiency.

Estimated time commitment

• The video lead is expected to monitor the project management system for discussions and video needs.
• This position can expect to spend 2–4 hours per month editing video and supporting discussion leaders.

Length of appointment

1–2 years with opportunity to renew.
