About the role
Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while supporting the Open Door Policy.
Responsibilities
- Assign duties, communicate goals, and provide feedback to associates.
- Train associates on processes, procedures, and member service approaches.
- Ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members.
- Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals and participate in sales and marketing events.
- Complete and maintain marketing recaps and other required documentation to meet membership goals.
- Promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services.
- Acknowledge members, identify their needs, and assist with purchasing decisions.
- Provide guidance on self-service technology and assist with transactions at registers or self-checkout.
- Ensure club pick-up orders are filled accurately.
- Oversee assigned area by handling claims, returns, and zoning; arrange and organize merchandise.
- Identify shrink and damages, maintain cart/flatbed availability, and assist members with transporting items.
- Maintain parking lot cleanliness and operate cart retrieval equipment according to company policies.
- Complete accounting records, file transactions, and prepare daily deposits.
- Follow accounting office procedures, provide funds for register operation, and create financial analysis reports.
- Assist with accounting-related investigations, prepare Cash Fund Transfers, and investigate overages/shortages.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers.
- Analyze information from multiple sources, monitor progress, and address improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Use the Open Door Policy to assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, and executing work assignments.
- Provide advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved.

Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a front-end team.
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
