Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assign duties, communicate goals, and provide feedback to associates.
- Train associates on processes, procedures, and member service techniques.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and support the Open Door Policy.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits.
- Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals.
- Participate in sales and marketing events; complete and maintain marketing recaps.
- Strive to meet membership goals and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
- Acknowledge members, identify needs, and assist with purchasing decisions.
- Guide members on self-service technology and assist with transactions.
- Ensure club pick-up orders are filled and oversee the assigned area of responsibility.
- Handle claims, returns, and zoning; arrange and organize merchandise.
- Identify shrink and damages; maintain availability of carts and flatbeds.
- Assist members with transporting items and maintain parking lot cleanliness.
- Follow accounting procedures, provide funds for register operation, and create financial reports.
- Prepare daily deposits, oversee Cash Fund Transfers, and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information.
- Collaborate with managers, coworkers, and customers to meet business needs.
- Analyze information, monitor progress, and address improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
- Lead and participate in teams; share resources and coordinate work assignments.
- Provide advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality.
- Model adaptability to change and help others navigate new challenges.

Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a front-end team.
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and workload management.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
