Member Support Specialist I

About the role
The Member Support Specialist I serves as the primary contact for members, handling a high volume of calls to assist with various financial needs. This role is critical in delivering accurate information, supporting digital banking tools, and resolving member issues. It contributes to maintaining member satisfaction by providing attentive, professional service and facilitating self-service options.
Responsibilities
- Assist members via phone and digital channels with non-cash transactions and account support
- Provide accurate information about products and services
- Guide members through digital banking tools and promote self-service options
- Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex or unique member issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Preferred experience in credit union or banking call centers
- Bilingual English/Spanish candidates encouraged
- Ability to use a TDD (telephone device for the hearing-impaired)
- Incumbent bonding required by the organization’s authority
- Completion of communications and regulations training
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Comfort with digital tools, Microsoft Office, and basic office equipment
- Basic math skills and knowledge of financial regulations
- Residency in Oklahoma required for remote work eligibility
Pay
Starting at $22.20 per hour. Final rate based on experience and internal equity. This is a non-exempt (hourly) position.
