Member Service Teller

About the role

Summit Credit Union is seeking a passionate, people‑first Member Service Teller for the Janesville branch. The teller will be the friendly face of the branch and the heartbeat of the member experience, helping members with everyday financial needs while making interactions enjoyable.

Responsibilities

• Greet members with warmth and genuine interest, ensuring every interaction matters.
• Handle a variety of financial transactions with precision and care.
• Listen closely to uncover member needs and connect them with the appropriate teammates.
• Educate members on Summit’s products and services to help them manage money more effectively.
• Keep branch operations running smoothly with attention to detail and timeliness.
• Work Saturday hours as required to serve members.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service or sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for building rapport.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office and basic math skills.
• Sharp eye for accuracy and a commitment to excellence.

Physical Demands

The employee is continuously required to stand, walk, and sit, and to use hands and fingers. Occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Saturday hours are required.
