Roving Member Service Teller

Responsibilities

• Travel to various branch locations, as assigned, to assist when short-staffed.
• Greet and welcome members and visitors to RRCU in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Assist members in accordance with operating procedures of the Credit Union, performing basic teller and member service functions under minimum supervision.
• Assist members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services, and resolve problems that are within their authority.
• Assist members with membership needs, such as direct deposits, IRA withdrawals or changes, electronic tax filing, check reordering, automatic transfers, and wire transfers.
• Produce and explain statements, verify transactions made on accounts, and make necessary corrections.
• Balance cash drawer daily.
• Responsible for the security of their own negotiables until signed over to the proper designated employee; alert to warnings of fraud and troubleshoot member issues.
• Promote and cross-sell all RRCU products and services.
• Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Twelve months or more of experience in a teller position preferred.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
• Friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to transport and reposition heavy bags of coin, to stand on feet for long periods of time, and to operate standard teller equipment with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
