Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in daily operations, including branch opening and closing, drawer balancing, voids, adjustments, and coworker support.
- Handle member requests for account-related services, such as account openings, wire transfers, savings bonds, foreign currency, stop payments, inquiries, and account transactions.
- Provide exceptional member service, identify needs, promote products, and support proactive business development.
- Make independent decisions, troubleshoot questions, and assist colleagues on the teller line.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
- Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and periodic audits to ensure security, safety, and compliance.
- Promote BSA compliance and adhere to relevant regulations.
- Ensure security and privacy of member and employee information.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to perform basic math transactions, read, analyze, and interpret written and oral instruction, and communicate effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, pleasant demeanor, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Notary Public status (if requested).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education/Training
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- College degree or certification in a relevant field, preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role, including handling cash transactions.
- One to three years of bank/credit union experience required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Primarily sedentary work involving a desk or teller station, computer use, and phone/video conversations.
- Moderate noise levels, sitting or standing for extended periods, moving about the office, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds, and repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions.
- Visual acuity for document transcription, viewing, and computer use, and verbal communication with colleagues, supervisors, members, and visitors.
Pay Range
$25 - $27 per hour
