Float Patient Service Specialist

Responsibilities
Ensures the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the facility’s “front office” activities. Assures provision of office functions such as patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation, data collection and dissemination regarding patient demographics and third‑party payers, and all other necessary clerical and office functions. Obtains and tracks authorizations. Collects, reconciles, and prepares daily bank deposits for over‑the‑counter cash.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be available for early mornings and evenings, Monday‑Friday shifts
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a medical office setting requiring multi‑tasking (preferred)
- Knowledge of health insurance (preferred)
Skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity, word processing, office procedures, filing, verbal and written communication, fax, photocopy
- Customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff, supportive personnel, patients, physicians, and community members

Pay
$21‑$24 hourly, depending on years of experience; includes gas mileage for travel and a float differential in pay.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 40 hours annually varied shifts from 7:00am-7:00pm.
