Member Service Representative

Powder River Energy Corp. (PRECorp), a member-owned electric cooperative serving residential and commercial customers across five counties in northeast Wyoming, is seeking a Member Service Representative for our Gillette office.

About the role

As a Member Service Representative (MSR), you will deliver prompt, efficient, and courteous service to PRECorp's member-owners. The role requires energetic professionals who prioritize meeting the needs of the cooperative's members. Multi-tasking is essential, as duties include responding to member calls, emails, and walk-ins.

Responsibilities

• Assist with member inquiries about billing, payments, rates, and electric usage.
• Help with payment arrangements, capital credit questions, and related processes.
• Create service orders for requests such as new services, disconnections/retirements, reconnections, service transfers, upgrades, and issues with security lights or equipment.
• Provide members with information about special programs like PREPay, Heat Rate, Net Metering, Budget Billing, and Time of Use Rate.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, efficiency, quality, and professionalism in fulfilling the cooperative's member service needs.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of one to two years of general office experience.
• Proven experience working within a multi-faceted software system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual communications are desired.
