Member Service Associate
This position is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and enriching member relationships while providing exceptional service. The qualified candidate will be member-focused, demonstrate excellence in accuracy, show integrity, and share one vision through teamwork. Monday–Friday: 8:15 AM–5:15 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM–12:15 PM
Pay
$24.02 – $25.08 per hour with a monthly incentive opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to the Credit Union Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision.
- Demonstrate a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon their arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business.
- Demonstrate teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure confidentiality of member information.
- Support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Ask questions, listen to members’ needs, and offer solutions that best fit those needs.
- Act as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with other employees.
- Ensure confidentiality of member account records and account information; request identification whenever necessary and provide account information only to those members listed as primary or joint owners.
- Profile each member to uncover opportunities for additional business.
- Structure loan applications, work with underwriters, and adhere to all lending policies and regulations.
- Make weekly outbound sales calls to members.
- Perform all aspects of the MSR position, including accurately balancing a cash drawer daily and understanding all credit union policies and procedures for cash handling, check handling, and identification.
- Build member relationships by recognizing their financial needs and meeting those needs with the appropriate GreenState product and service or referring them to specialized departments (Wealth Management, Commercial, Mortgage, GreenState Insurance, etc.).
- Participate in promotions, contests, and other departmental activities that support team goals.
- Sell loan protection products.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of all federal regulations and procedures concerning deposits.
- Perform vault duties, including cash ordering, balancing, drawer audits, scheduling, and other duties as assigned.
- Play a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or Credit Union-sponsored events.
Requirements
- At least one year of similar or related experience or 12 months in an MSR role with knowledge of all credit union accounts and products, with proven ability to handle a wide variety of functions quickly and accurately.
- High energy, sales ability, and interpersonal skills to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize work assignments and organize work efficiently; good time management skills to meet established deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
- Proven relationship-building skills and techniques.
- Self-motivated, able to exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
- Ability to maintain composure and problem-solve as issues arise.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment.
- Report to work punctually, work all scheduled hours, and work overtime as necessitated by business demand.
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Must be bondable.
- Must be registered pursuant to the requirements of the S.A.F.E Act.
- Adhere to all state, federal, and credit union regulations, policies, and guidelines.
