Member Service Assistant

Position Summary

Actively greets members, verifies membership cards, keeps entry counts, and checks receipts upon members exiting. Performs and documents warehouse safety and security checks. Provides a high level of member service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly building safety and security checks, walking the building and perimeter, pushing carts, and picking up stray items or putting items away.
• Correct safety and security problems such as spills, trip hazards, and blocked exits; fill out reports and present results to the duty manager.
• Attend warehouse safety meetings.
• Maintain the entrance area: open/close store doors, greet members, verify membership cards, offer carts, direct members, keep coffee grinder clean, and keep the entrance/exit area clean and dry.
• Use a handheld clicker to count entering members, report half‑hour counts to front‑end managers, and record counts on weekly reports.
• Ensure workers reach their cars safely, monitor members attempting to enter, and watch for suspicious behavior; report any suspicious activity to the duty manager and call police if necessary.
• Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery as needed.
• Assist with department duties and support other warehouse departments as necessary.
