Position Summary
The ideal candidate provides exceptional Member experience throughout our communities. Processes financial transactions, assists with Member inquiries, and identifies and reports fraudulent activity.
Essential Duties
- Processes financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and general ledger entries.
- Maintains accurate records and balances daily transactions.
- Provides services such as cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers, and additional sub-shares.
- Knowledgeable in all tools, products, and services to answer and assist Members' questions or concerns.
- Uses basic sales techniques to deepen existing Member relationships.
- Identifies Members' needs, cross-sells, and refers to appropriate business partners.
- Recommends alternative channels like online, mobile, and digital solutions.
- Reports fraudulent activity to prevent potential loss to the credit union.
- Affixes receipts, clears ATMs and Teller Cash Dispenser units, and ensures transaction accuracy.
- Reviews and maintains knowledge of products, fees, and policies.
- Meets branch-assigned and individual sales goals.
- May be required to travel to alternate work locations based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School or GED related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret instructions, understand policies and procedures, and communicate policies and procedures to Members in an easily understandable and professional manner.
- Must comply with all BSA and AML laws and regulations, as they pertain to federal guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
