About the role
This position exists to serve our members at the Gulf Shores Branch in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This is a frontline position.
Responsibilities
- Engages members by onboarding them with Alabama Credit Union by opening new accounts and providing a relationship-building experience;
- Aid members with loan requests;
- Aid members with their financial transactions, involving giving and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments;
- Provide information about products and services to members in order to serve their financial needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Customer service skills;
- Cash handling;
- Good computer skills (including the ability to use Microsoft Office products and web-based applications);
- The ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening;
- The ability to describe and sell products and services to members;
- The ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
- A desire to help others in your community.
Other preferred qualifications
- One to three years of similar or related experience;
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper (to include counting cash, sorting and filling paper items, scanning, etc.), and occasionally lift and carry incidental items such as supplies.
