About the Role
Quartz is seeking detail-oriented individuals to join our growing Member Enrollment team. In this role, you will process enrollment transactions, apply eligibility rules, and ensure accurate health benefit selections for members in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Process enrollment transactions, including entering new member benefit selections, disenrolling members, and applying eligibility rules to process member benefit changes.
- Process, review, and compare electronic and roster files; investigate and update other insurance; and generate enrollment-related reports.
- Work closely with members, group contacts, agents, and regulatory agencies to answer enrollment-related and eligibility inquiries, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Identify and resolve issues, including reconciling eligibility discrepancies.
- Maintain knowledge of enrollment regulations, such as effective dates, termination dates, and other eligibility-related requirements.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree preferred, with 1+ years of experience in the health insurance industry or healthcare field OR High School Diploma or equivalent, with 4+ years of experience in a professional setting with exposure to transactional processing.
- Fundamental knowledge of health insurance practices, regulations, procedures, or medical terminology.
- Proficiency with web-based applications and Microsoft programs; experience with Epic applications is preferred.
- Ability to work on a computer regularly to perform assigned tasks.
- Excellent active listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
- People-oriented with empathy, compassion, and a willingness to help.
- Strong multitasking skills to navigate multiple computer applications and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Works well in a team environment and independently as a telecommuter.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet for remote work.
- Ability to commute to one of our offices in Madison, WI or Onalaska, WI at least 1-2 times per year may be required.
