About the Role

Radar Systems Engineering within Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a candidate to support the design, integration, and test verification of high-performance radar systems. The successful candidate will apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, and concepts to develop revolutionary radar solutions in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional analysis, design trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer requirements into radar system software specifications.
  • Develop models and detailed simulations to assess system performance.
  • Conduct system verification and support certification activities.
  • Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, government lab partners, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters.
  • Provide Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline assistance, tooling expertise, and direction.
  • Automate repeatable tasks through the use of scripting languages.
  • Mentor early career engineers in the systems engineering activities required to deliver products to stakeholders and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree combined with 8 years of related experience.
  • Radar system design/development experience, including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis, or modeling & simulation.
  • High proficiency in C++ or equivalent object-oriented computing language, Matlab, and scripting languages.
  • Experience in requirements management and derivation using tools similar to IBM DOORs.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with demonstrated ability to plan, track, and execute engineering tasks to meet program objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: systems engineering, software and system analysis, requirements development, verification and validation, trade studies, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.
  • Experience working with customers to drive complex technical issues/challenges to closure.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Desired Skills

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to complete technical objectives on schedule and within budget.
  • Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.
  • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment, familiarity with toolsets similar to JIRA.
  • CAM/EVM fundamentals with experience in staffing projections, full software product development lifecycle, inchstone planning, and proposal/new contract planning.

Pay

$110,500.00 - $208,344.00

For Washington state applicants only: Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
