About the role

L3Harris is seeking a Software Engineer to be based at the historic L3Harris Camden Waterfront Campus. The role involves translating requirements into working and maintainable solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers, applying technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, and participating in all phases of the SDLC.

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into working and maintainable solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.
  • Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test.
  • Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.
  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.
  • Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects.
  • Develop software utilizing modern cloud application development tools and standards.
  • Investigate root cause of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team.
  • Develop device drivers and software for integrated communication systems.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum Practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of prior applicable experience; or, a Masters Degree with 2 years of related experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing software in Java, C, and/or C++ and debugging application and cloud-based applications.
  • Exposure to debugging embedded applications on simulated and target hardware.
  • Hardware / Software Integration experience.
  • Experience with Rational Team Concert (RTC), or Jira.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of prior applicable experience; or, a Masters Degree with 2 years of related experience.

Skills

  • Experience with Agile Scrum Practices.
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing device drivers and software for integrated communication systems.
  • Object-oriented design and implementation experience, with exposure to software modeling and UML.
  • Knowledge of network architectures and protocols.
  • Experience with commercial telephony software packages, such as Asterisk.
  • Experience with implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) security control across application software.
  • Experience with static analysis, code coverage tools, and automated test frameworks.
  • Experience with communication systems (VOIP/DSL).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $94,341.00 - $156,188.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Schedule

This is a Regular (Every Other Friday Off) Schedule.
