This is a volunteer role for a Board Member located in anywhere in the U.S.. The Board Member will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring the organization’s mission and goals are met efficiently. Responsibilities include attending regular board meetings, participating in fundraising activities, and assisting in policy formulation and oversight. The Board Member will also engage with various stakeholders to build and maintain relationships that support the organization's objectives. We are very interested in people with fundraising experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or experience in the K-12 education space in the U.S.
• Experience in strategic leadership and governance
• Knowledge of fundraising and resource development
• Understanding of educational policies and science curriculum
• Commitment to the mission and values of Science is Elemental
