Post Conviction Project, Inc. (PCP) is a Florida Supreme Court-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to post-conviction litigation, direct appeals, and reentry support for individuals impacted by the criminal justice system. To our knowledge, we are the only FLSC-approved criminal defense legal aid organization dedicated solely to post-conviction relief and criminal appeals. In Florida, many justice-impacted individuals lack access to post-conviction legal representation and the support necessary for successful reentry. Wrongful convictions, excessive sentences, and due process violations often go unchallenged because individuals cannot afford skilled legal counsel after conviction. Even after release, formerly incarcerated people face significant barriers to employment, financial stability, and basic life skills, increasing the risk of recidivism and limiting opportunities for long-term success. These gaps undermine fairness, public safety, and community stability. Without intervention, individuals are left without the tools to assert their legal rights or rebuild their lives.
