Member and Board Relations Intern

About the role

The Industry Relations and Awards team manages ACM's relationships with its members, Board of Directors, and the wider country music industry. As the Membership and Board Relations Intern, you'll help keep the membership program and board operations running smoothly. You'll also see firsthand how an industry trade organization builds its community and runs an awards season.

Responsibilities

• Keep member records and the membership portal accurate and up to date
• Track member benefits and help with recruitment and renewal outreach
• Draft and schedule content for quarterly member emails and other communications
• Help plan and staff quarterly member programming and events
• Keep board contact and committee lists current, and help schedule committee meetings
• Format board meeting presentations and gather agenda items from departments
• Compile background documents for awards panels
• Support industry-facing needs onsite at ACM events
• Participate with the team in all industry facing ACM Award efforts as assigned
• Take on other projects as needed

Requirements

• Current college student or recent graduate, ideally studying music business, entertainment management, communications, or a related field
• Outgoing and professional demeanor
• Real interest in country music and the music industry
• Very organized and detail-oriented, and able to keep spreadsheets and trackers accurate
• Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Available for some evening and weekend industry events

Skills

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and quick to learn new tools, including AI-powered programs
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• Bonus: experience with CRM or membership databases, email platforms, or PowerPoint design
