Melt Design Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform project and design activities including 3D CAD modeling, design calculations, and detailed drawings.
• Collaborate in a team-based environment with engineers, designers, and peers.
• Apply analytical skills to dive into details, uncover insights, and deliver impactful solutions as an individual contributor.
• Provide models and drawing packages to suppliers, internal customers, and rebuild teams, supporting all phases of design.
• Generate new ideas and concepts for problem-solving during the design phase.
• Work in a highly matrixed and diverse organization across research, development, engineering, and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Minimum associate degree in CAD Drafting Technology.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and concepts for problem-solving during the design phase.
• Fabrication experience (work or home) preferred to support complex mechanical designs.
• Strong communication skills to share opinions and ideas with engineers involved in projects.
• Strong CAD capabilities; SolidWorks is a plus.

Pay

The range for this position is $62,547.00 - $86,003.00 (full-time status). Starting pay depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
