Job Summary

We are seeking a tech-savvy, customer-focused Meetings Technical Services Specialist to support the planning and delivery of hybrid conferences and meetings. This role partners with internal teams and external vendors to deliver reliable meeting technology, AV systems, and on-site technical support for ICANN events and conference rooms.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support planning and execution of hybrid meetings and conferences
  • Aid in meeting technology projects from concept to completion
  • Maintain and support AV hardware and conference room systems
  • Ensure reliability and lifecycle management of meeting technology
  • Manage daily operations and tech support for conference rooms
  • Cook up with vendors and contractors
  • Lead MTS technician for assigned events
  • Administer and support MTS platforms
  • Operate effectively under tight deadlines and live-event pressure
  • Make sound decisions during live broadcast situations
  • Research and implement project management methodologies
  • Prepare business cases outlining scope, costs, and benefits
  • Adhere to timelines, budgets, policies, and regulations
  • Communicate project policies and procedures as needed
  • Build strong relationships with end users and stakeholders
  • Participate in strategic business planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
  • Knowledge of IT systems, AV environments, and project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice
  • Ability to work internationally across time zones and cultures

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, EE, AV Production, or related field preferred)
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with video conferencing and AVoIP
  • Experience managing vendors and cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience supporting executives and global live events
  • Experience with demand management and resource planning

Language

  • Fluency in spoken and written English required
  • Additional language skills preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • International travel up to 30–40% of the time
  • Trips may last 14–16 days, multiple times per year
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours when required
  • Hybrid work environment; minimum 2 days per week in Los Angeles office
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and arms
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay

Targeted Base Salary Low:60,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits
Targeted Base Salary High:80,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits
