About the Role

We are searching for a MedTech Surgery Analytical Characterization Intern to join our team in Raritan, NJ. This internship runs from May to August 2026 and requires a full-time commitment (40 hours per week).

This internship position will join the Analytical Characterization group within the company's research and development organization. You will perform hands-on experiments in wet chemistry and chromatography under the supervision of lab scientists, collaborate with analytical associates, manage samples, and curate data. You will also participate in New Product Development project teams, interact with cross-functional R&D associates, develop analytical methods, and deliver results to support product development.

Responsibilities

  • Work with scientists to perform wet chemistry and chromatography in support of new product development and life-cycle management.
  • Focus on sample preparation, testing, data collection, notebook recording, data analysis, and data reporting.
  • Log and manage samples submitted from the stability group.
  • Practice safe and environmentally sound laboratory techniques adhering to regulatory, local government, and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely through verbal and written reports.
  • Maintain good documentation and lab notebook per company procedures and FDA/ICH guidelines.

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, reflective of all college coursework.
  • Must not be a senior graduating prior to the program end date (seniors must be willing/allowed to extend graduation date if hired).
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry lab skills is required.
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., F1, H1-B status).
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) with reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Bench work experience in chemistry is preferred.

Pay

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour, based on the candidate's program year, discipline, degree, and/or experience.

  • Sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
