Medication Technician (PT 11pm-7am)
About the role
The Medication Technician position at The Barclay at Sarasota Panama City Beach requires a caring heart and willingness to serve others. The role involves reporting changes in resident health, managing medication distribution, assisting with dining, and engaging residents.
Responsibilities
- Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
- Affirming medication management program accuracy, professionalism, and effectiveness according to The Barclay standards and state regulations.
- Understanding and explaining medication dosages and pharmacology when necessary.
- Distributing prescribed medications to residents and maintaining related medical records.
- Assisting with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
- Assisting with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- Current Medication Technician License issued by the state.
- CPR/First Aid certification, preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Experience working with older adults preferred.
