Medication Technician - Night Shift

Pay

• Base Pay: $24.65 - $27.82 per hour
• Shift Differentials: +$1.75 per hour for Night Shift, +$1.50 per hour for Weekend
• Rotation Schedule: 3-week cycle, specific week determined by start date

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage and administer medications and treatments
• Document medication administration, effectiveness, and any side effects
• Protect residents' rights and ensure confidentiality
• Transcribe new or changed orders into the electronic health record MAR
• Maintain secure storage and accountability for all medications
• Ensure appropriate and timely reporting of any change in condition
• Order all new and renewal medications
• Assist with information gathering and documentation for incidents
• Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
• Perform CNA job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active WA State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) with minimum six months work experience
• Active status on OBRA Registry
• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of Nurse Delegation Core Training
• Successful completion of Nurse Delegation with a Focus on Diabetes Management
• Effective reading, writing, and communication in English
• Proficient with using computers and software, EMR experience required
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days from date of hire
• Food Handler's permit within 14 days from date of hire
• Completion of DSHS Dementia and Mental Health training within 90 days from date of hire
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Remarkable communication skills
