About the role

Elm Crest Senior Living Community is hiring a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to provide safe, compassionate medication support and resident care within our assisted living community. This is a full-time evening position offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with medication administration and limited topical treatments under the supervision of the Assisted Living Director
  • Provide quality resident care and support with activities of daily living according to individualized care plans
  • Monitor residents and report changes in condition to appropriate clinical staff
  • Promote residents' physical, emotional, and mental well-being
  • Follow community policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and medication management requirements
  • Support a positive, resident-centered environment that reflects the mission and values of Elm Crest

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Iowa Medication Manager Certification or Iowa Certified Medication Aide certification required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused approach to care

Qualifications

  • One year of healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care experience preferred
  • Experience administering medications in a senior living setting preferred
  • Willing to train the right candidate with the required certification

Pay

$14.75–$18.31/hour (credit for experience)

Schedule

Full-time nights, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays
