Medication Technician - Labor Pool - Smithfield Lifelong Health

Responsibilities

• Administers and documents the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee’s information
• Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
• Obtains accurate vital signs and weights
• Reports changes in behavior, activities of daily living or other signs/symptoms of change in condition to nursing leader and/or provider as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Less than 1 year
• Licenses and Certifications: Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire, Medication Aide - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire, CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days, First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days, Food Handlers Card (FH) - VA State - ANSI-approved Food Handlers certificate program (Preferred)

Pay

Hiring range is $19.70 - $25.63/Hourly. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
